Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 16, 2026
SRM Articles ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website srmarticles.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit, how we use it, how advertising and analytics partners may process data, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
SRM Articles is an informational article directory publishing guest posts and editorial content across many practical niches, including health and fitness, business development, education, science and technology, lifestyle, food, home décor, and related topics. For privacy questions, email info@srmarticles.com. We aim to respond within a reasonable time, typically within 30 days where required by applicable law.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide: name, email address, and message content when you use our Contact page or email us directly.
- Automatic technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, and timestamps. This data helps us operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- Cookies and similar technologies: small files or identifiers stored on your device. See our Cookie Policy, EU Cookie Policy, and USA Cookie Policy for details.
- Advertising identifiers: when ads are shown, advertising partners may collect or receive identifiers used for fraud prevention, frequency capping, measurement, and—where permitted—personalized advertising.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, precise geolocation for tracking individuals, or financial account numbers through the public Site. Do not submit passwords or payment card numbers through the Contact form.
3. Google AdSense and cookie-based advertising
The Site uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-7134692382107848) and may use related Google advertising products to display ads. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, including cookie-based advertising. This may include personalized ads based on your interests and browsing activity across sites, and non-personalized ads that still rely on cookies or identifiers for fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this Site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, users can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
We do not control all cookies set by third-party ad vendors. Those vendors process data under their own privacy policies. You can learn more in Google's advertising policies and privacy materials at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
4. Third-party ad vendors
In addition to Google, AdSense and related networks may involve other ad technology providers that measure ads, combat fraud, or help deliver inventory. These third parties may set or read cookies, pixels, or local storage items on your device. The specific vendors active on a given page can vary over time. Where required (especially in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), consent for advertising cookies should be collected through a compliant consent mechanism before non-essential advertising technologies run.
5. Google Analytics (if / when enabled)
We may use Google Analytics or similar analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Site (for example, which articles are popular and how people navigate). Analytics tools typically collect aggregated usage statistics via cookies or similar identifiers. If Analytics is enabled, Google may process this data as described in Google's documentation. You can limit Analytics cookies through our cookie banner preferences, browser settings, and—where available—Google's opt-out tools. Analytics cookies are treated as non-essential and should not run until you accept analytics (or equivalent consent) where prior consent is required.
6. How we use information
We use collected information to: operate and secure the Site; respond to inquiries; measure performance and improve content; detect abuse; comply with law; and, where permitted, support advertising that funds free access to articles. We do not sell your contact-form messages as a mailing list product. However, under some U.S. state laws, disclosing identifiers to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered a "sale" or "share." California residents can learn more and opt out on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
7. How users manage ad preferences
You can manage advertising and analytics preferences in several ways:
- Use the on-site cookie banner (Accept / Reject / Manage Preferences). Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key
srmCookieConsent. - Re-open settings anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
- Visit Google Ads Settings and industry opt-out pages linked above.
- California residents: use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where supported.
- Browser controls: block or delete cookies; note that blocking all cookies may break essential features.
8. Legal bases (EEA/UK/Switzerland visitors)
Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: (a) consent for non-essential cookies and personalized advertising; (b) legitimate interests for essential security, basic analytics needed to keep the Site reliable (where permitted), and responding to messages you send; and (c) legal obligation where we must retain records. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting lawfulness of prior processing.
9. Retention
Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable business record (typically up to 24 months unless a longer period is required for disputes or legal compliance). Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle where feasible. Cookie lifetimes vary by vendor; advertising cookies often persist for months unless cleared. Consent preferences stored in localStorage remain until you clear site data or change preferences.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information; to object to certain processing; to portability; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing, and non-discrimination for exercising rights. To exercise rights, email info@srmarticles.com with enough detail for us to verify and respond. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
11. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age of digital consent applies). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can delete it.
12. International transfers
Our hosting and advertising partners may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses used by vendors) may apply. Using the Site means your information may be transferred internationally.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a content website, including HTTPS where configured on the live host. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes may also be highlighted on the Site.
