What is the best way to remove rust from Professional kitchen chef knives? Of course, it’s best not to let it develop in the first place. Therefore, we cannot stress enough the importance of making sure your knives are clean and dry. We recommend wiping the blade while cutting. Especially when working with acidic ingredients like oranges and tomatoes. 

Coat The Blade.

If you are not using it for a long time, it is recommended to coat the blade with a thin layer of neutral oil. When assembling the blade, make sure the blade is completely dry. Using a scabbard (wooden sheath) is a great way to protect your blade. Ensuring that moisture does not reach the blade.

Even if you follow all these steps to prevent the knife from rusting. But sometimes you can get rust. You can remove them using several methods. It started with slight rust. You can use the cleaning side of a kitchen sponge. 

Do Not Use Metal Steel.

Do not use metal steel as it may damage the knife. Using a mild abrasive cleaner like Barkeeper’s Friend, Bon Ami, Ajax, or Comet with wine corks will help get rid of the rust. You can also easily remove rust by soaking the blade in vinegar. For severe rust, we recommend using a product called a rust remover. Whether wet or dry, it can be used.
